2017 Maresh Pinot Noir

This 2017 Pinot Noir comes from the historic Maresh Vineyard in the Dundee Hills AVA. 

The Vineyard

Maresh Vineyard is the fifth oldest vineyard in Oregon, having been planted starting in 1970 by Jim and Loie Maresh. Three generations of Maresh family have lived here and farmed this vineyard sitting high up in the Dundee Hills. These historic old vines are selfrooted, planted on deep volcanic Jory soil and grown organically. Today, Maresh Vineyard is a reference point for Oregon Pinot Noir.

2017 Vintage 

A cold, snowy winter led into a wet spring and warm, dry growing season with good fruit development. Record-breaking heat spikes and regional wildfires burned throughout summer. End of season rain brought relief from the heat.
